# Quickstart

You got a verification link from a gated community. Here's what happens next.

### Step 1: Click the Verification Link

You'll see a message like: "This channel is gated by token holdings. Click here to verify your wallet."

Click the link. It takes you to Ancla's verification page.

### Step 2: Connect Your Wallet

You'll be asked to connect your Solana wallet.

Supported wallets:

* Phantom
* Solflare
* Backpack
* Any Solana wallet with WalletConnect

Click Connect Wallet, choose your wallet, and approve the connection.

### Step 3: Sign the Message

After connecting, you'll be asked to sign a message.

This is NOT a transaction. You're not sending tokens. You're not paying gas. You're not approving anything.

You're just proving you own the wallet. Click Sign and you're done.

### Verified

If you meet the requirements (enough tokens, holding period, etc.), you get instant access. Roles are assigned automatically.

If you don't meet the requirements, you'll see a message explaining why.

### Is This Safe?

Yes.

What Ancla does:

* Checks your wallet balance (read-only, public on-chain data)
* Asks you to sign a message to prove you own the wallet
* Assigns Discord/Telegram roles based on what you hold

What Ancla does NOT do:

* Move your tokens (it's not a transaction)
* Charge gas fees (signing is free)
* Ask for your seed phrase (NEVER enter your seed phrase anywhere)
* Access your wallet beyond verification

Think of it like proving you have a ticket at the door. You show it, but you don't hand it over.

### What Happens After Verification?

Ancla will re-check your holdings periodically (the community owner sets the schedule).

If you still meet the requirements, you keep access. If you sell below the threshold, you lose access on the next re-check. If you buy back in, you regain access automatically.

### Need Help?

If verification fails, check:

* Did you connect the right wallet? (The one with the tokens)
* Do you meet the minimum balance?
* Do you meet the holding period? (Some communities require X days)
